Wayne strikes again being named Runner Up Champion in the Region 4 Amateur Championship held just before Mother’s Day at the Oakridge Pointing Dog Club. Wayne ran in the 7th brace of the championship in the heat of the day. He finished as strong as he started scoring 4 finds with the first being on a covey. He’s certainly been hitting his stride at the right time as this was the last championship until Fall. Thank you to the judges and to everyone who worked behind the scenes to run this event!
A companion amateur derby stake also ran in conjunction with the championship. Conditions were pretty tough for the derbies running in hot conditions with little wind. Nick ran in the second brace and was awarded third at the end of the running. He had a forward searching race and scored three finds during his run. To see the full write up check out the link below.
